1. vegan Chocolate protein BALLS ingredients:
- 2 cups of no sugar cornflakes cereal- crushed (can be done in a blender, make sure it is not too fine)
- 3 tablespoon of any nut butter( I have used peanut as had it handy) – make sure it doesn’t contain additional sugar and oil.
- 2 tablespoon of maple syrup or agave- or any other liquid sweetener you prefer.
- 1 scoop of neutral flavour vegan protein powder - I am not sure if chocolate or peanut butter one can be used as haven’t tried.
- 2 blocks of cheapest (or not😉 ) vegan dark chocolate- or milky one if you can get it.
Melting the vegan chocolate
step 1:
Place water in a small pot and a glass dish over the pot. Add your chocolate to the glass dish, turn on the heat so the water slowly simmers, and watch your chocolate melt. You’re welcome😉
How to Prepare chocolate protein balls:
step 2:
- "In a large bowl, crush your cornflakes into much smaller pieces, so the consistency resembled oats.
- Next, add your protein powder and mix well
- Incorporate the wet ingredients, which include nut butter and sweetener, and mix thoroughly using your hands
- Form balls that are approximately 3cm each. Pro tip: wet your hands with water in between to prevent the batter from sticking
- Place the balls in the freezer until they become solid
- In the meantime, melt your chocolate using a water bath (see method above)
- Once the chocolate is melted, coat your balls with it and return them to the freezer for another 10 minutes until the chocolate shell solidifies
